Story Behind the Image
In October 1975, Elton John made rock history with two sold-out concerts at Dodger Stadium, performing for more than 100,000 fans in a dazzling, sequined baseball uniform designed by Bob Mackie. The event marked the peak of his 1970s superstardom, and photographer Terry O'Neill captured its energy and spectacle in a series of iconic images that have become defining photographs of rock-and-roll history.
