Jimi Hendrix, Royal Albert Hall, 1969
Barrie Wentzell
Story Behind the Image
"Jimi was set to play at the Royal Albert Hall in London and I went along to the sound check/rehearsal and took a few shots. The light was poor but got this picture and left.
I did go to the show that evening but, for some reason I didn’t take a camera, what a shame, as it was amazing experience, Jimi in the spotlight and me without a camera!
What a Idiot! But it was a pleasure for once, just to sit back and enjoy the music." - Barrie Wentzell
